Destination: Art – Creative Conversations – Restoring a 1926 Craftsman Bungalow

Come experience the journey of restoring a true 1926 Arts and Crafts house in Old Torrance. Formally the Lawson home, Joey and Leslie Chavez authentically restored every inch of this exceptional Craftsman bungalow to its original beauty. Dedicated to the details, they spent 11.5 years doing their own research into the proper techniques, sourcing the original true woods, and respecting the architecture of the era. Their creative thinking and resilience have produced a work of art for all of us to greatly appreciate.  (And . . . they lived to tell about it! J)

This house has also been on the Torrance Historical Society’s Biennial Fall Tour of Historic Homes – it’s a fan favorite!
